You commit yourself to respect the program requested for certification including:
- to perform the operations in accordance with the organic production rules;
- to accept, in the event of infringement or irregularities, the enforcement of the measures of the organic production rules;
- in the event of infringement or irregularities, to undertake to inform in writing the buyers of the concerned product(s) in order to remove references to the organic production method from them.
- to accept, in cases where you and/or your subcontractors are checked by different control authorities or control bodies, the exchange of information between those authorities or bodies;
- to accept, in cases where you and/or your subcontractors change of control authority or control body, the transmission of your control files to the subsequent control authority or control body;
- to accept, in cases where you withdraw from the control system, to inform without delay Ecocert;
- to accept, in cases where you withdraw from the control system, that the control file is kept for a period of at least five years;
- to accept to inform the relevant control authority or authorities or control body or bodies without delay of any irregularity or infringement affecting the organic status of your products or organic products received from other operators or subcontractors.
- to perform the operations in accordance with the local general requirements applicable to the operator
To enter into a USDA NOP certificate services agreement pursuant to 205.401 Application for Certification, applicants are required to:
- Have their application accepted by Ecocert USA after a detailed review process.
- Submit a fully completed Organic System Plan (OSP) to Ecocert USA.
- Pay the first year's annual certification fee in full to Ecocert USA.
- Ensure all application details are accurate; misinformation may result in agreement voidance.
